Mexican Day of the Dead
Mexican Day of the Dead, or Dia de los Muertos as it is known in Spanish, isn’t a holiday traditionally celebrated in the UK, but is one that is gaining popularity.
While it sounds a little macabre, this annual event of bittersweet remembrance which falls every November 2nd is great fun, and sees people dressing up in extravagant costumes which wouldn’t look out of place in a scene from Tim Burton’s ‘Corpse Bride’.

Creepy skeleton designs are perfectly blended with classy and beautiful costumes, to create one of the most brilliantly odd sights you’re likely to see all year. Death isn’t something we naturally associate with beauty, but the Mexicans have certainly found a way to put a very positive spin on things.
What’s more, a selection of items and props which CEP own, such as piñatas and sombreros, will serve to transform the scene into one which you could be forgiven for forgetting wasn’t actually taking place in Mexico.
